Course Description:
Visual perception, eye hand coordination, visual motor integration, maneuvering from point to point, copying as well as scanning, converging and tracking all are familiar to therapists to determine our student’s abilities and challenges. Come to this seminar to learn how to extrapolate what we know into the application that can address demands of the classroom. Learn therapy techniques and gain a better understanding of teasing out why our students may be having difficulties with the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. As we know the foundational skills of development impact accessing information. If we don’t imbed our treatment into curriculum demands, how can we truly support our students in the least restrictive environment of the classroom. Let’s learn how to help other educators recognize why a student is struggling.
