This course will cover a typical history for a patient with pain that is SI Joint in origin as well as the prevalence of SI pain among patients initially diagnosed with lower back pain. It will review common physical findings, and provide a review of anatomy, biomechanics and the functional model of SI Joint stability. The course will also discuss clinical examination including provocative testing and tests to rule out the hip and lumbar spine. A demonstration of hands-on provocative testing of the SIJ will be performed. There will be a review of non-operative treatment and post-operative treatment after SI fusion.
