Course Description:
A broad overview of structural and functional goals and interventions used for orthotic management of the lower limb. Participants will be given an overview of the design of ankle foot orthoses (AFOs) and selection criteria. Evaluative process explained to include pathology, patient assessment, AFO selection, case studies and fitting criteria. The importance of an inter-disciplinary, collaborative approach to patient management will be stressed.
