Course Description:
This course is a 2 day follow up course for the upper and lower courses. After a review to solidify the important evaluation and basic treatment points of the introductory courses, advanced concepts and techniques that will allow the participant to treat even the most difficult patients will be covered and practiced. Specific manual technique application, sequencing of treatment, medical considerations, and advanced techniques for desensitization and deprovocation will be covered. Evidenced based objective measures such as algometry, surface temperature, and sensory measurements will be demonstrated and practiced. Management strategies including specific electrical stimulation techniques, progressive loading, mirror imaging, repetitive patterning, etc. will be covered. Treating the most challenging patients will be illustrated through "real patient" presentations and discussion.
