Course Description:

This presentation promotes effective physical therapy practice to improve outcomes for older adults impacted by pain. The epidemiology of pain and the efficacy of evidenced based physical therapy interventions will be examined, barriers to current outcomes will be identified, and opportunities to promote effective assessment and skilled treatment will be discussed. In addition, the potential for interprofessional partnerships to promote treatment, improve outcomes, and contribute to patient satisfaction will be explored.
