Course Description:
This course is an in-depth look at the parameters of prescribing exercise and physical activities for older adults. For rehab professionals new to working with seniors, it provides a thorough overview, while for those already experienced in geriatric care, it offers an excellent update. The course discusses the changing demographics of our society, the benefits of exercise for older adults, the aging process, common geriatric disorders and how physical activity may affect them.
