Course Description:

This course is designed to provide an overview of spinal cord injury and the implications in providing care for someone who has experienced a spinal cord injury (SCI). The recovery process and transition to home, work, and daily life is a complex process involving many members of the healthcare team, which requires a multidisciplinary approach in order to be successful. A better understanding of all aspects of spinal cord injury can lead to better management, decreased secondary complications, and decreased healthcare costs.
