Course Description:
Stroke is a leading cause of disability in the United States. Physical therapists commonly work with people post-stroke to help improve mobility and function. However, comorbidities often exist and can have an impact on rehabilitation. This course will discuss common comorbidities and how they may influence the physical therapy evaluation, intervention strategies, and plan of care. The primary goal of this course is to educate physical therapists on important clinical considerations regarding comorbidities among stroke patients to ensure quality patient care and positive rehabilitation outcomes.
