Course Description:

How do we manage and treat patients who have experiencedCOVID-19? We are still learning the impact of the disease onpatient function; however, much is known about effectivetreatments for these patients upon discharge from the intensivecare unit to either home or rehabilitation settings. This courseprovides rehabilitation professionals with an overview of typicalclinical presentations and expected outcomes for patientsrecovering from COVID-19. Clinical considerations formonitoring, interventions, and red flags for patients in the post-acute setting are presented. Recommendations for working withpatients experiencing psychological impacts (fear, anxiety, socialisolation) are discussed.
