Course Description
In this one-day virtual course, experienced clinicians will offer their knowledge of the visual system, assessment techniques, basic treatment strategies, professional networking regarding visual management, and clinical manifestations of common visual impairments following acquired brain injury.
Course Objectives:
Participants will:
1. Learn common visual and visual-perceptual impairments associated with acquired brain injury.
2. Learn a basic vision screening for referral to a vision specialist and clinical treatment planning.
3. Develop clinical skills to assist with treatment planning for the patient with functional visual impairments.
4. Understand interdisciplinary and functional impacts of visual impairments.
