Course Description:

Active Release Techniques Spine Level 1 offers intense training in 52 manual treatment protocols. This seminar comprises a live and online component. Completion of both parts are required to obtain certification. Prior to attending the live seminar, providers will complete a 4-hour online introduction including thorough review of gross anatomy, ART’s diagnostic algorithm and treatment methodology, patient presentations, and clinical implications. The goal of the introduction is to greatly prepare students for the hands-on portion of the seminar. Proficient anatomy knowledge is essential for success. The live seminar is almost entirely hands-on and offers a small student to instructor ratio to ensure quality education. Providers learn and practice manual palpation and treatment modalities to treat soft-tissue injuries and disorders of the spine, neck, and head. ART treatment utilizes manual techniques to move tissues and joints while under tension. The system allows for relative motion between the tissues and articulations. This seminar course emphasizes treatment methods for the neuromusculoskeletal system to diagnose and correct alterations in tissue texture, tension, movement, and function between tissues. All treatments protocols are designed to correct tissue alterations, assist the provider with articular adjustments, and ultimately shorten treatment regimens required to resolve a case. Evaluation and treatment occur simultaneously.
