Virtual M1 Course Description
This course consists of a 3-hour online module, and a 9-hour lab component. The online module is presented as a narrated PowerPoint with embedded videos. The content of this module is foundational material that can be effectively delivered online. Although the pre-recorded material runs at a predetermined amount of time, Participants can complete this module at their own pace, and can review the material as many times as necessary in order to fully understand the material. The platform used to present this material does not require any additional software to run the program other than an internet connection, and can run on either a PC or iOS system, desktop, laptop, or mobile device. Participants can contact the Instructor with a button embedded into the course.
The lab portion of this course is presented as a series of remote lab sessions, performed virtually through an interactive webinar. An interactive virtual webinar session is required in order to properly observe participants perform applications with the instruments. Participants will be required to run the webinar application with a computer or mobile device with a camera, microphone and speakers in order to interact with the Instructor. In each session, the Instructor shares a 5-10 minute video instruction, then participants practice the techniques, either on themselves or on a partner, while the Instructor(s) supervise the labs through the video. Each participant is given 10-15 minutes to practice the techniques, which is ample time to practice. The Instructor(s) assesses each participant’s technique delivery through a lab skills check-off sheet. Class size is limited so that an instructor will only supervise a maximum of 12 participants at any one time
