Dual-tasking has been part of therapy’s toolkit for several years. It is a common practice to challenge our patients, especially those recovering from stroke or concussion, with a cognitive, visual, or auditory task while they are performing an activity. Did you ever wonder how to target your dual-task intervention to maximize patient function? How to choose which dual task paradigm to use and determine if it is working? This 1-hour audio course for intermediate and advanced learners will review the role that dual tasking plays in maintaining functional ability, how to determine which dual task intervention to apply given a patient’s clinical presentation, and how to explain the value of dual-tasking to your patient.
