Work simulation is a key part of work rehabilitation interventions to help workers explore their capabilities, increase strength, function and endurance, as well as problem solving, communication and coping skills.
This course focuses on design and advancement of structured work simulation activities in the clinic - including development of specific activities based on work demands, using both basic clinical equipment and work specific materials.
At the end of the training, participants will be able to-
1. Develop 3 work simulation interventions based on job demands information and client examination in case scenarios
2. Construct 3 work simulation activities using common clinical resources in case scenarios
3. Engage workers in activities such as goal setting and problem solving using work simulation tasks, as a way to promote worker confidence and self-care.
