Course Description:
An examination of the strong link between socialization and unconscious bias across populations. Attendees will learn strategies to mitigate unconscious biases influencing actions along with techniques to address bias in the workplace and strategies to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all.
Course Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
1) Describe discriminatory terms used today within their historical context.
2) State three tactics to increase one’s awareness of differences between social groups.
3) Discuss strategies to create an inclusive environment.
