Course Description:
Rationale for doing the seminar:
The current state of the sports medicine profession is that there is so much information available to practitioners regarding injury prevention, return to sport protocols, nutrition guidelines, athlete profiling, planning and periodization and more; that it can feel like paralysis by analysis. The issue many practitioners face is understanding how to take this information and put it in practice in real life scenarios with significant constraints.
Outcome of attending the seminar:
The desired state is to provide real life guidance for practitioners to take this readily available information and put it into practice in the real world. While bringing together some of the brightest minds in sports performance and sports medicine industry, we believe that their experiences and journeys will shed light on problems that may be faced in applying best practices and how to move forward. The identified gap is bridging the gap between research and application. Providing a contextual roadmap for professionals to apply best practice in the team sport setting.
