Course Description:

This 2-day course is designed to provide the rehabilitation professional with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to safely manage the complex patient population supported on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The course will provide a didactic overview of foundational cardiac/pulmonary principles, common critical care support lines/devices, ECMO physiology (VA, VV, and hybrids), as well as mobilization strategies specific to patients on ECMO.
