Course Description:

The inclusion of PT and OT services is a vast and widely reported unmet need of patients
recovering from cancer. The value of these services for the patient with cancer needs to be
recognized and more frequently utilized. PT and OT professionals should be part of the patient’s
care team from the beginning of diagnosis to maintain, improve, or prevent loss of function and
return that patient to their maximum level of function. This course addresses the unmet need of
PT and OT in cancer rehabilitation and discusses specific interventions for different types of
cancer. This course details interventions that will improve your patient’s functional abilities,
leading to a greater quality of life.
