Are you looking for therapeutic exercises that are both functional and evidence based? Joseph Pilates created Pilates as an exercise modality based on yoga and martial arts. Pilates is a mind body exercise system designed to activate and strengthen the core stabilizers which in turn can improve one’s ability to perform functional tasks. Populations from children to seniors can benefit from this mind- body approach. Recent peer reviewed research has highlighted the usefulness of Pilates for many patient populations. This course includes exercise descriptions with photos to enhance your learning experience. Participation in the exercises is greatly encouraged to facilitate mastery, as well as to gain an understanding of their purpose. This is a pre-recorded course with 91 slides. The slides consist of power point and voice narration by the author.
