Course Description:
This course provides physical and occupational therapy professionals with an in-depth look at the functional anatomy and physiology of the continence mechanism. You will gain an understanding of the prevalence, types, and pathophysiology of incontinence across genders. By recognizing the different types of bowel and bladder incontinence and potential causes, you will be better able to help address these issues with your patients.
The goal of this course is to provide physical and occupational therapy professionals with knowledge necessary to address incontinence across genders in post-acute settings.
