Per the Centers for Disease Control, each year in the United States, about 264,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women and about 2,400 in men. This webinar provides an overview of how to evaluate and treat BCRL. Interventions to prevent or manage additional treatment side effects, including limited shoulder range of motion, pain, fatigue, and psychosocial concerns are also explored. Participants will be instructed in the components of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), including manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, skin care, and exercises for the upper extremity affected by lymphedema.
