Course Description:

Quality of life post-injury is the primary goal of people with spinal cord injuries and those who care for them. This year’s SCI Symposium brings together experts in the field to discuss key topics including: respiratory exercises and techniques for secretion management and respiratory muscle training, breathing techniques for pain relief, digestion, and reducing anxiety, patient education after spinal cord injury, addressing urologic dysfunction, and pain management strategies. All participants will benefit from the presentations on advancing technology for people with disabilities, utilizing recreation for fitness and well-being for SCI patients and an update on Auto No-Fault laws impacting the patient and caregivers.
