Course Description:

The Highbar Dry Needling level 2 course provides experienced dry needlers the tools to progress their skills further for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain. This includes advanced techniques for treatment of the spine, extremities, and temporomandibular joint. Participants will use movement screening for the purpose of test re-test to ensure desired functional outcomes are achieved in addition to pain management. Basic corrective exercise prescription following dry needling will be discussed. We will also demonstrate and practice alternate patient positioning options during needling for optimal comfort for patients during the procedure. Additionally, participants will learn theory and use of percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (PENS) and will be provided PENS treatment parameters driven to treat acute and chronic pain, or athletic recovery. A 6 to 1 participant to instructor ratio ensures continuous monitoring and immediate feedback during practice.
