Course Description:

Poorly managed wounds are one of the leading causes of increased morbidity and extended hospital stays. Therefore accurate wound assessment, documentation, and management is fundamental to providing quality care. This presentation will discuss how to improve timelines and accuracy of wound documentation within provider teams and assigning the appropriate diagnosis upon admission. Additionally, how to correctly stage pressure injuries on admission will also be presented.
