Course Description:

This course challenges participants to apply key principles of cancer rehabilitation, exercise training in people affected by cancer, evaluation and management of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and screening for cancer related cognitive decline in a case-based format. In a live classroom, case-based setting, participants will implement the patient-client management model, Dietz classification of cancer rehabilitation and the International Classification of Function (ICF) framework to guide comprehensive patient management in the outpatient cancer rehabilitation setting. Learners will be presented with typical clinical presentations and in a case-based format, will work through an assessment and evaluation and develop an individualized care plan. Attendees will actively participate in case-based learning to utilize active and reflective tools for clinical decision making.
