Course Description:

This course will provide an in depth look at a proximal clearing exam intended to be completed on any patient presenting with upper extremity symptoms. Upon completion of this course, clinicians will understand the rationale behind completing this type of exam as well as those presentations that may fall outside their scope of treatment and warrant referral to another healthcare provider. This type of exam is supported by current research and literature. The course will include a case study to solidify the concepts discussed. Overall, this course will highlight the components of a proximal clearing exam and how to implement it into each evaluation for patients with upper extremity complaints.
