Course Description:

Chronic wounds are known for their large share of healthcare cost and limiting quality of life for many patients. Therefore, it is important for healthcare professionals to have the knowledge necessary to identify causes which limit wound healing progression, to provide the ideal environment for wound healing, and to understand the intrinsic and extrinsic variables at play.
This course, Advanced Wound Care Concepts, dives into each of these topics and expounds on how edema, malnutrition, and biochemical pathways lead to the development of chronic wounds.
