Course Description:

Treating the aging patient with dementia is more crucial than ever before. Dementia has been known as the "ticking time bomb", affecting millions in the United States and worldwide. In this course, we will learn about the stages of dementia, providing examples of behaviors found in each stage and what professionals can do to mitigate some of these behaviors. The learner will come away from this course with a knowledge of staging, and additional skills in documenting these stages appropriately for reimbursement.
