Course Description:

The field of pediatric physical therapy is complex and involves an interdisciplinary team. The role of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants involves recognition of different challenges that children may face in development and structuring therapy to improve these factors. Therapists are crucial in educating families and caregivers, recommending assistive devices, and helping children with disabilities engage in play and movement. This course will discuss important diagnostic considerations, presentation of many pediatric disorders, evaluation strategies, intervention strategies, and resources to help navigate care for therapists and the guardians of children.
