Course Description:

This course offers an interactive, case-based approach to reviewing injuries of the shoulder and knee from the viewpoint of a renowned orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist. The case studies begin by discussing the various pathologies that are commonly seen in the unstable shoulder of an overhead athlete. Dr. Andrews offers his viewpoint of these conditions and discusses indications for surgical interventions versus conservative management. A similar approach is taken for the anterior cruciate ligament and overhead athlete with an interactive discussion between Kevin Wilk and Dr. Andrews allowing for a review of the collaborative thought process between a physician and therapist.
