Course Description:

This presentation will review current principles in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis, the most common joint disorder in the United States, is extensively researched and discussed in medical literature. This presentation will discuss the risk factors for the development of osteoarthritis as well as how the pathogenesis progresses in these populations. We will discuss diagnosis including clinical signs and symptoms and imaging that is commonly used. Lastly, we will review the alternative treatments, including biologics, in the management of osteoarthritic conditions.
