Course Description:

Gaining information through a comprehensive subjective history is crucial to successful outcomes and helping patients reach their goals. This can be extremely challenging without a therapeutic alliance between the clinician and patient. This course will guide the clinician through the steps of engaging our patients through Chit Chat skills, from the initial greeting and throughout the course of care. The participant will utilize communication and interviewing skills, connecting with our patients to gather and utilize the key subjective information. These skills can influence aspects such as patient compliance with visits, adherence to recommendations and ultimately improve outcomes, directly helping our patients achieve their goals.
