Course Description:
Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), also referred to as one of the Parkinson-plus syndromes, is a rapidly progressing neurodegenerative disease. This course provides an overview of the clinical presentation, pathophysiology, and progression of PSP. A case study is used to highlight the critical signs and symptoms necessary for early detection, intervention, and management to improve quality of life for the patient and their family. The roles and responsibilities of each member of the rehabilitation team are presented, along with examples of appropriate goals and interventions.
