Course Description:

Management of athletes with cervical and lumbar injuries can be overwhelming for many
rehabilitation professionals. Sports medicine professionals, Kyle Matsel PT and Todd Arnold
MD, discuss the clinical decision-making progress for treating athletes with spine injuries. In this
course, we will review the differential diagnosis, examination, intervention, and prognosis for
athletes with various presentations of cervical and lumbar spine pain. Three different case studies
will highlight the importance of accurate diagnosis and provide a step-by-step approach to
treatment progression over several follow-up sessions as the athlete aims to return to sport.
