This course explains how to perform a comprehensive custom wheelchair evaluation and describes how to select an appropriate mobility base and postural support systems. The advantages and disadvantages of various seating systems and wheelchair components for custom seating are reviewed. Best practices in documentation are presented to ensure therapists understand what key information must be included and when to start the process to justify the need for a custom wheelchair.
