Course Description:
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common entrapment neuropathy, affecting men and women of all ages. This condition often occurs due to a combination of factors, including overuse and changes associated with aging. Physical or occupational therapy is considered first-line treatment for this impairment. In this course, therapists will learn to recognize the clinical presentation and examination findings to support your clinical diagnosis of CTS. Medical treatment options and considerations for when to refer are discussed. Therapists will learn to differentiate CTS from other musculoskeletal conditions, like cervical radiculopathy, and develop an evidence-based treatment plan.
