Course Description:

Designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining functional maintenance programs (FMPs) is valuable and often under-utilized in skilled nursing and long-term care settings. An FMP for the right person at the right time can help individuals maintain gains made in therapy and can significantly minimize risk of further impairments and decline. In this course, you will learn how to determine which residents are appropriate for an FMP, key findings to include in documentation to justify need, and how to implement an FMP including caregiver training and consultation and collaboration with multi-disciplinary staff and families.
