Course Description:
Physical therapy professionals are likely to see patients referred for treatment of protracted concussion recovery or who present with signs and symptoms of concussion without an established diagnosis. This protracted recovery is referred to as persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS) or post-concussion syndrome (PCS). Learners who take this course will review common presentations of PPCS and steps to a thorough examination. A series of case studies will present best practices for establishing a plan of care (POC), including identifying the appropriate evidence-based interventions, progression, and goals.
