Course Description:

Aging is associated with pathophysiologic changes that increase the risk of adverse medication reactions and side effects. Rehabilitation professionals should understand the common classes of medications, potential side effects, and risks specific to the geriatric population. This course includes a discussion of the clinical screening process and medication review, the effects of medication on function and safety, and when to report potential adverse reactions.
