Course Description:
Self-management programs are one of the most effective ways to decrease dyspnea and improve exercise capacity and health-related quality of life outcomes for individuals with pulmonary disease. Rehabilitation therapists play a critical role in supporting a patient as they learn to manage their symptoms. In this course, learners will review the process of supporting patient behavior change and will be provided with resources and recommendations for successful disease self-management.
The goal of this course is to provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy professionals with resources and recommendations to best support patients for successful disease self-management.
