Course Description:

Therapists working in home health often treat individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI). This diagnosis is typically in addition to several other co-morbidities which can make clinical assessment, goal setting and progression, and interventions challenging. This course describes how to use the Rancho Los Amigos Scale to stage a patient's TBI and aligns that staging with clinical presentation and recommended intervention activities. Best practices to engage the care team, including patients and caregivers, are discussed.
