Course Description:

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders and injuries generate great concern for all healthcare organizations. These debilitating conditions have the potential to place strain on already stressed staffing levels. Unplanned staff reductions may result in the inability to deliver safe and timely care to individuals. By accessing proper equipment and training in ergonomic principles, healthcare staff can remain injury-free and able to work. This course discusses work-related musculoskeletal disorders, their associated risk factors, and the various prevention strategies and interventions.
