Course Description:

The continuing education course will provide participants with clinical insight into the evaluation and treatment of golfers with wrist and hand musculoskeletal related pain, mobility deficits, and/or muscle power deficits; specifically targeting common conditions such as wrist tendinopathy, prior or recent history or fracture or OA, and/or soft tissue injuries to the TFCC and/or carpal ligaments. Participants will be guided through lecture and live demonstration-based content related to creation of a golfer’s occupational profile, functional activity analysis of the golfer and identification and explanation of common injury inducing mechanics. We will discuss clinical intervention strategies for specific wrist and hand diagnoses as pertaining to return to play, swing modifications and/or use of adaptive equipment and/or orthoses, return to play considerations, and related interprofessional communication and collaboration.
