Beverly Drake Symposium: Comprehensive Burn Care: From ICU to Outpatient

Join experienced clinicians from The University of Kansas Health System for this one-day hybrid course exploring comprehensive burn care across the continuum of health care. Participants will be able to recognize complexities that impact patients with burns and will be provided with information on the role of the interdisciplinary health care team to treat the burn patient including the role of surgery and reconstruction options, nursing cares related to dressing changes and positioning, the role of the rehabilitation therapies on increasing independence with ADLs and mobility, nutritional considerations related to healing, and psychosocial considerations and coping following a burn injury.
