Course Description:
This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, prosthetists, and occupational therapists, with a comprehensive understanding of the medical criteria and processes involved in justifying the prescription and provision of prosthetic devices. Focused on evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making, this course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, document, and advocate for prosthetic interventions based on individual patient needs. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, interactive discussions, and practical exercises, participants will gain the necessary expertise to assess patients' prosthetic needs effectively, document those needs following medical guidelines, and advocate for appropriate prosthetic interventions. This course aims to empower healthcare professionals to ensure access to prosthetic care for individuals with limb loss while upholding ethical standards and best practices in the field.
