Course Description:
Spinal mobilization and manipulations are a great adjunct for patient treatment and improved outcomes. This course is designed to boost the skills and techniques of students, new graduates, and experienced clinicians using manipulations. Many practitioners think success lies in the moment you perform the technique. However, after residency and fellowship training, and years of clinical practice honing the craft, Dr. Feldman established this course to highlight factors that impact the success of a manipulation technique. This course will focus on teaching “clinical pearls” to be used before, during, and after techniques to improve the participants confidence, outcomes, and patients experience with the techniques.
This predominate lab course will outline the clinical decision making of selecting manipulation for a patient, analysis of research in the field of manipulation, safety measures, and screening for performing techniques. Psychomotor skills from beginning to end for cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral manipulations will be honed and improved with one on one feedback from the instructor. Feedback will be a staple of this class to make sure you feel confident using these techniques starting Monday!
