Course Description:

Immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment over the last two decades & is likely to become a mainstay of cancer treatment in the coming years. While generally less toxic than traditional chemotherapy, immunotherapy still causes significant side effects that adversely affect a person’s functional mobility. Rehab professionals must be aware of these effects & how they may affect their plan of care.

This course will discuss the use of immunotherapy in cancer treatment, common side effects, & how immunotherapy affects functional mobility. Clinicians will understand how immunotherapy affects their patients & may affect their plans of care, including how to monitor for various toxicities associated with immunotherapy.
