Course Description:

While there are different types of abuse, they all involve maltreatment with intention. All ages are at risk for abuse, and it continues to be a concern for anyone working with populations facing particular risk. This learning activity is an overview of abuse, including definitions of abuse in general as well as information about the different types of abuse. To help explore the topic further, demographics, reporting requirements and steps, and case studies are used.
