Course Description:

Resiliency is one of the most important components for clients to possess to be able to cope well, manage difficult situations and experiences, and most importantly, to heal and grow. It is often assumed, by both clients and clinicians, that this is a personality trait that is simply possessed or not. However, research indicates that resiliency can be fostered and developed. This course will illuminate the important factors that distinguish people who manage to cope effectively with difficult situations and even to grow versus people who simply become weighed down by adversity. Practical strategies will be presented to help you to help your clients increase their resiliency and coping skills.
