Course Description:
This course will review basic anatomy of the foot/ankle as well as basic functional concepts to lay a foundation for exploration of plantar foot pain. Using the Clinical Practice Guidelines from AOPT as a framework, participants will be updated on diagnostic and treatment options with the most current evidence. Participants will be able to apply these procedures within the context of patient complaints and gait observation during a 1 hour in-person lab. Treatment examples that include manual therapy, taping techniques, and therapeutic exercise will be provided during lab time.
